Charlotte, NC –  Mecklenburg County Park and Recreation invites anyone who wants to learn about its programs and events to the 2010 Spring Fling Program Showcase on Saturday, March 20, 2010, 1pm-4pm at Freedom Park, 1900 East Blvd. 

This event is especially helpful to families and individuals looking for fun, free or inexpensive things to do in a tough economy!

Spring Fling Program Showcase presents information and exhibits about Park and Recreation programs and events for pre-school children, youth, teens, adults, and seniors. Emphasis is on spring and summer activities.

Visit demonstrations, booths and tables for information on nature centers, recreation centers, special events, sports, Therapeutic Recreation, the Mecklenburg County Aquatic Center, Ray’s Splash Planet, greenways, etc. The Showcase is FREE!  Take a walk in the park and join the fun around the band shell beside the Freedom Park Lake. This event also offers entertainment, games, food venders and more.
