Volunteer Responsibilities/Duties
Assist passengers with obtaining Airport information including wayfinding assistance, gate locations, using and locating Airport resources, etc.
Volunteer Qualifications
Be able to work well with people, willing to assist others, possess good communication skills, be reliable, committed and physically able to perform the duties. Volunteers must be at least 16 years old.

Volunteer Shifts (seven days a week, 365 days a year) Volunteers are required to complete a minimum of two four-hour shifts each month.
Shift Times:
Shift A: 8 a.m.- 12 p.m.
Shift B: 10 a.m.- 2 p.m.
Shift C: 12 p.m.- 4 p.m.
Shift D: 2 p.m.- 6 p.m.
Shift E: 4 p.m. - 8 p.m.
Volunteer Uniforms
The "official" volunteer uniform consists of: Yellow Oxford (provided by CLT) and black or tan pants and comfortable shoes. Training
Volunteers are required to participate in a one-day training program. Topics covered include security information, customer service training and an overview of the Airport and its facilities. Additionally, on-going training programs are offered to volunteers throughout the year. Want to be a part of this exciting program? Airport Volunteers is a highly coveted volunteer opportunity. Individuals in this program serve as the face of Charlotte and as an information resource to the many passengers that travel through our airport. Please be advised that all candidates must go through additional screening to qualify for this volunteer program. All interested candidates must complete the Airport Volunteer Interest Application. Candidates will be contacted after your interest application survey has been received and reviewed.
The purpose of this program is not intended to assist those interested in finding/seeking employment at the Airport. Airport Volunteers do not receive airline or flying privileges as a result of their participation in this program.
Volunteers do not perform duties such as handling luggage, pushing wheelchairs or enforcing the rules and regulations of the Airport and Federal Government.
